Bishop Dr. Terry G. Richardson is an anointed and blessed man of God. His mission in life is to have a positive impact on the lives of others. God has allowed him to pursue this mission throughout his involvement within various communities: faith, education, banking, business, tennis, and the community at large. He is a native of Petersburg, Virginia and is the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene A. Richardson, Jr.
Bishop Dr. Terry G. Richardson accepted his call to ministry in February 1989 at Beulah Baptist Church. He was ordained in 1992 at Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International (LOTW) under the leadership of Archbishop Jimmie L. Smith. Bishop Dr. Richardson was the President of LOTW Bible Institute. He and his wife, Elder Anita Richardson, were the pastors of LOTW ministers. Bishop and Elder Richardson were very involved in various leadership and ministry opportunities during their tenure at New Covenant Christian Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Billy R. Johnson. In August 2002, He and his wife co-founded Christian Growth Ministries, Inc. in Ellenwood, Georgia where they serve as Bishop and Elder, respectively.
Bishop Dr. Richardson earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Hampton University, a Master of Divinity (MDiv) Degree from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University, and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Degree from Peabody College, Vanderbilt University. He was a Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and later the Chief Auditor with Citizens Trust Bank. He was an administrator with Georgia Piedmont Technical in which he was the Founder of several programs: the Georgia Fatherhood Program, the Sanokfa Scholars Program and the Exceptional Customer Service Program. He served as the Director of Admissions, Director of Student Retention, and Director of First Year Experience until his retirement in August 2017.
Bishop Dr. Richardson is an accomplished Tennis Coach (Professional Certification with PTR) and was the Founder/Director of The Balanced Tennis Academy. Under the leadership of Coach Norman Wilkerson, he was the Assistant Coordinator to the Nike P.L.A.Y. Program and served on the Georgia Tennis Association's Board of Directors. Coach Richardson represented the USTA Southern Section at the 1999 U.S. Open in New York and was the recipient of the Coan Tennis Association Community Service Award. He provided non-denominational chapel services at junior tennis tournaments throughout the Southeast during his coaching career.
Bishop Dr. Richardson is blessed to be married for 42 years to Elder Anita Richardson, an anointed and beautiful woman of God who was his college sweetheart. They have been blessed with three children, a son-in-love, and two daughters-in-love: Tiffany and Brandon Davis, Terry II and Chelsea, and Sean and Sykari. They are actively involved in the nurturing and loving of their four grandchildren: Isaiah, Monae, Carter, and Slade.
